Upon meeting your certified clinical thermographer, your appointment with start with a thorough review of your health history and current concerns.
You'll be removing clothing in the designated area. The technician guides you on when and where to disrobe for optimal imaging, and the process involves sitting or standing while a digital infrared camera captures images without physical contact.
After the scan, our technician reviews, but does not interpret your images. Then your data is securely uploaded and assigned to a medical doctor for interpretation. Once the comprehensive report is ready, it will be emailed to you typically within two weeks.

NO! These modalities are very different when it comes to imaging. Mammogram is looking at structure such as tissue. Whereas thermography is about function.
Thermography can detect hot spots which are metabolic and vascular activity. Abnormal thermal findings require close monitoring and further evaluation with a test of anatomy, ultrasound for example, to specifically locate any findings and proceed with necessary treatment.
One test is not better than the other. They are looking at completely different aspects of breast tissue therefore one cannot replace or substitute the other. However, if nothing is found through follow up evaluation, you have an early risk assessment and the opportunity to do something about it! No other tests available have the ability to see this activity.
The good news, thermal energy actually helps increase the accuracy of mammograms and other tests! Thermal imaging and other tests work together to form a highly accurate picture of what's happening in the breast.
